These numbers refer to men dying of Prostate Cancer.
1 in 8 guys will get diagnosed with prostate cancer and the big shocker is there are very few symptoms or outward signs.
A short while ago I started a charity portrait project called MEN IN BLACK (& white) to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK. The images you see here are some of the amazing guys I have photographed for this campaign and I thank each and every one of you.
Business consultants, film makers, IT company/ex rally driver, student/boxer, author/financial life planner, accounting software, photographer/wearer of funny hats! The list goes on and I’d love to have more guys step forward to get involved in this amazing cause.

Come on guys, this is your time to SHINE.
When it comes to family portraits, what’s your biggest frustration?
Getting everyone organised and ready on time. Making sure outfits all go together. Trying to figure out what to do with your images after the session.
A white box photo shoot is definitely not your average posed portrait session. It’s fun, it’s quirky and children absolutely love it, in fact you may find they don’t want to come out after the session has ended!
THE BOX: It’s big enough to fit the whole family in (4ft x 4ft). Don’t worry if you are tall, many sit so we can always fit you in. These box sessions are all about fun and enjoyment so you are allowed to be as daft as you like!
We’ll capture lots of images and combinations, then after selecting your favourites, using some clever software we’ll drag and drop them into a 9 up template right there in front of you. Voila!
Quirky, a little wacky maybe, but totally UNIQUE.
How is this even possible?
First of all, there is NO Photoshop trickery, these amazing portraits are created for real, in camera.
BUT, before we go any further, I need to ask…
* Do you get excited at the thought of trying something new when others often say, “I could never do that?”
* Would you be willing to step outside your comfort zone to create something truly unique?
* And to experience something very different to create a one of a kind portrait that’s unlikely to have ever been seen before?
If the answer to these questions is a resounding YES, lets have a chat to find out if this can work for you.
I should say,INVERTED portrait sessions are not for the faint hearted. I guarantee this will be a talking point among friends and family for many years.
Creating something this special, often requires going the extra mile. I can guarantee though, you WILL have an absolute blast.
If all this sounds too scary, it’s probably not for you.
However, if you are intrigued, give me a call on 07970 722223 and let’s chat.
A dynamic, engaging head shot portrait is your front page for YOU. It should have personality, connection with the viewer and make people want to do business with you.
It is not however, a nice picture taken by someone with 'a nice camera'.
I've heard it so many times..... "Geoff in the office has a nice camera, I'll get him to take one". Please, don't do this.
Whether you chose to book a professional or not is your choice, but it may not be the best option to get a colleague to do it if they lack the skills and experience to create an engaging portrait. It also makes you look cheap, not interested in your image to others, think how much that could cost you in the long run.
I'm sure we have all seen the terrible selfies on Linked In, and it still shocks me that many simply do not appreciate the power and true value of a great portrait.
Food for thought......

“Smile for the camera” is something you won’t hear me say to your child. Forming a great connection with my subjects is one of the most important parts of capturing those truly gorgeous, angelic images of your children.
I absolutely love working with children, maybe its because I am still a big kid inside, who knows, but hearing the comments afterwards about how much they enjoyed the session and were made to feel at ease is to my mind, one of the big factors in children’s portraiture.
Forget the iPhone snaps or Facebook photos, having a beautiful portrait of your children on the wall sends a very powerful message to them. Growing up seeing those images every day is priceless, it says “You are important to us, you are a big part of this family and are dearly loved”.
